Dr. William Moulton Marston was the creator of DISC Theory at Harvard University in the 1920’s, while doing research for his book The Emotions of Normal People. He was looking to identify predictable traits and behaviors of every day people in different environments. DISC styles are a combination of four behavioral personality types.

D = Drive
I = Influence
S = Steadiness
C = Compliance
These styles are not black and white. We have some level of each of these styles in our personality. It’s just a matter of what combinations are high or low. A high level of dominance predicts our behavior in the same way a low level of dominance does, so intensity does matter. When analyzing a person’s personality style, we look at which combinations are highest; also taking into account how high or low each style is on the graphs.

What is ho’oponopono - The word “ho’o” means “cause” in Hawaiian, while “ponopono” means “perfection”. The term “ho’oponopono” can be translated as “correct a mistake” or “make it right”.

It is a practice that does not require much teaching, but it is powerful for purifying one’s body and getting rid of bad memories or feelings that hold the mind in a negative tune.

The term became known from an experience lived by the therapist and teacher, Ihaleakala Hew Len. As unbelievable as the story may seem, this man has managed to cure an entire pavilion of mentally ill criminals in Hawaii without even talking or interacting with any of them.

Reiki is a form of hands on healing, with its origins in India and the East dating back many thousands of years to the time before Christ and Buddha...

The original name, disciplines and techniques of Reiki were lost due to the traditional method of passing knowledge from generation to generation by word of mouth. Exactly when this ancient art of healing disappeared is difficult to determine. However, we do know that it was rediscovered by a Japanese Scholar and monk name Dr Mikao Usui. It was in fact Dr Usui who fashioned the name REIKI.

EFT stands for the Emotional Freedom Techniques. It has also come to be commonly referred to as “tapping” as the techniques involve a gentle tapping or percussion of the fingertips on the skin. EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over 5,000 years, but without the invasiveness of needles.

Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest while you think about your specific problem — whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc. — and voice positive affirmations. This combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmation works to clear the “short-circuit” — the emotional block — from your body’s bioenergy system, thus restoring your mind and body’s balance, which is essential for optimal health and the healing of physical disease.
